so when are the IIA going to start buliding a network capacity to wreck havoc on internet serivces?

why do you think its as early as 2010 that we might go back to dial-up?

This is a very serious issue in our scocity. Though i do not believe that the whole world will willingly switch back to dial up and that there would have to be some sort of massive break down in the internet systems for this to actually occur.

Wow. This is scary. What if we really do have to go back to dial-up in 2010?

The internet must develop faster wireless transmissions. It also needs Intenet Service providers to update servers and routers. In addition phone companies need to use more fiber optic cable.

Well, I'm sure they will solve this issue.
.. or maybe I'm just suffering from cornucopia ; P

This could be true. What would happen to society then?

The fact that there is a high demand for the internet is a grave issue and needs to be addressed immediately

This is a very seriouse issue! but even though Consumer demand for bandwidth could see the internet running out of capacity as early as 2010
With the the network struggles to cope with the amount of data being carried on it. People should find/work on solutions for this problem. Because the demand is only going to continue increasing :)

This is a very shocking and serious issue and needs to be solved asap. Some ways in which this crisis can be avoided in the future is by developing updated wireless connections and routers. I hope that this problem will be solved!

Internet gridlock due to the lack of space on the internet will have a severe impact on society. With 2010 closely approaching, funding broadband network upgrades will be difficult due to the estimated amount needed. If no upgrade or other solution is made, and internet users will be forced to use dial up connection, then it will have a worldwide effect on every internet client and may cause people to look for another source instead of the internet.

Im sure this wont happen since technology is developing so fast. If it does happen then we'll probably get a replacement of the Internet really soon after.

THe internet will fail as soon as 2010 bcause it will no longer be able to cop with the amount data within it. by increasing the data in the internet this will slow it down considerably.

due to the fact that society, has had such an improvement with the internet, most people would not be willing to go back to using dial-up. People could start looking for new sources that would be more efficient. Also this could cause a more improved version of the internet to be invented which couldn't get grid-locked, however 2010 is neering and improvements couldn't be make that quick.

Although I think it has a serious impact on society, I'm sure it will be solved soon enough! Poeple can't live without Google and YouTube.

honstly i really don't care if we use dial up or NOT . SAME BROWN BEEP.BUT the internet is developing so fast peoplewill not go back to dial up:)

Why does the dial-up problem have to coincide with the 2010 world cup.

Nada said...

If people have to go back to dial-up, theres going to be lots of complaints... the public needs to be warned about whats happening (or what will happen) so that it doesnt come as a shock later on.

Ghaleb said...

Lets just hope that it will not happen, because it would be a world wide disaster.
