The use of broadband compared to dial up is better. It's cheaper, quicker and more efficient. Therefore, its use should be promoted. They also mentioned some benefits like of educational benefits and medical benefits. So it helps the society. I would opt for broadband.
I think people in UK should think for a second about which service they would benefit more and save more money..is it dial-up or broadband, cause the obvious answer would be broadband. Looking at the price, the cheapest dial-up connection costs £175.89..while for broadband is £89.97..and there's a huge difference there. Plus the advantage of broadband is that it's much faster than dial-up. If your using dial-up you wait for minutes for websites to load but with broadband it takes just seconds. I guess the think is, people in the UK where so used to dial-up that a change would mean learning new things again, which I think they are afraid of. But change is constant so I think they should just embrace the fact and think more wisely with what they are doing...
This article is comparing Broadband and Dial up. In my opinion Broadband is better because it has more advantages. Broadband is faster, cheaper and it may help the society.
i think that its surprising how iognorant people are. If broadband is cheaper then dial up should not be used. it is also much faster and can be gotten at different speeds. The idea that the government is planning to use high speed broadband to provide public services is advantageous. although i think it has its disavantages such as those srvices will not be recieved by people who cannot afford internet connection or by people whose internet connection is temporarily not available.
The use of broadband over the dial-up connection, no doubt would be a much faster way of connecting to the internet, less time would be wasted waiting for the internet page to load and downloads either for entertainment purposes or for other purposes would be much faster. The use of broadband in places should be encouraged in places like Britain where people are too lazy to shop or don't have the time to. The article shows that some people don't even know much about broadband and how much they would save using it, rather the dial-up connection. The cost of a dial-up connection is £175.89 while the cost of the broadband connection is £89.97. the people would be saving £85.92 not to mention the numerous advantages it has.
