This article is about the Dubai Airport making people's airport experience more comfortable. The eliminating of Check in counters from the airport could mean that their equipment and machinery will have to be more reliable in order to make sure that people's security is not affected. This could also affect the society as several people could lose their jobs (machinery seems to be taking over human jobs). But there are also new jobs created which means that people will have to be retrained to be able to perform them. This could cost the business and is a waste of time. Despite this, it will perhaps make the airport experience quicker and easier to go through.
This article discusses how the new Dubai airport will be more "passenger friendly" by making the process less time consuming and irritating. This will be done by incorporating technology into the check in process which may allow passengers to freely walk into the airport and within a matter of minutes, be able to get on to the plane and relax. By incorporating technology into the check in system, jobs in the airport will require more workers with a background in technology.
It is amazing to see how the world is changing and moving into a new technological era. People won't have to check in any longer. In places like the US people check in online for their domestic flights. This helps people reduce their time that is wasted at the airport. People who were employed at check in counters are now unemployed and no longer required for their services. At the same time new people are employed for handling all the technical work.
This article is about the new airport in Dubai which is called Al-Maktoum Airport and how it was developed with high technology.
When i read this article i was shocked and amazed since the airport is very huge and fits 120 million passenger which makes it the biggest airport. Also adding technologies that will help expand and imrove the transportation and will offer more facilities for the passengers. Also knowing that an arabic country has such a technology is considered as a great advantage. This huge step will have a huge impact on society since it will be alot easier and more comfortable to travel.
The article is about the new Dubai Airport where they are deciding to eliminate the check in process. But does this mean that they are going to use those self-service machines to get their boarding pass and seat numbers? I think it helps that when the people use the self-machine service to get their boarding pass, this would help them with their privacy and anonymity, 'cause instead of those airport staff who checks in your airplane ticket you yourself would be able to check-in yourself. But another ethical issue here is the people & machines, the machines like the self-service check-in machine replaces the job of other people. Another issue here is authenticity, for you to get into the airport you need your passport, for you to be able to go to another country you need proof that you have a visa there or your a resident. Mostly, the check-in counters here in Qatar, before they get you through immigration they make sure that you have a visa to the country you are going, if you don't they won't let you go to immigration. If the check-in counters are removed, it would be a hassle to let people go into the immigration and then send back the person çause the person doesn't have a visa to the country he/she is going into. Another issue is realiablity, will we be able to adjust to the new ways of doing things in the airport, I mean it would take alot of getting use to other people. I jus thope that when they follow this procedure, they would have staffs there helping other people out, since I think this would cause chaos and confusion to other people.
Since the Dubai airport is now one of the fastest growing airports in the world, the people will feel comfortable with their service and with what they provide. The people will go to that airport since it's known to be a reliable one. People will go in and get what they need done and be on the plane fully relaxed.
Technology has deveoped over the years. It developed in many ways. The Dubai airport is now more developed than it was before. The new machines and its alot safer to travel now. Also now, the machines are much safer and it takes less time to search the bags and looking through everyone. Also, there will be less human jobs since everything is operated on machines now
Reducing the amount of time wasted in the airports checking in and passing through different phases of security is a very good and genuine idea but the security should also be increased to bring about maximum security in the airport. This also has a down side because as the counters are eliminated so will people because they would loose their job. instead of the airport promoting employment it will be aiding it. I think that the project should be looked over to find a way to reduce time wasted in the airport but also let the employees keep their job.
