I believe that this is a good idea by Google to create a new web browser. I also like the name 'Chrome', it has a nice ring to it. Google is a very reliable brand and I believe that it would put a dent to Internet Explorer and Firefox. The guys working on the project seem to know what they are talking about and I think it would be a great hit.
This new browser will help Google try and penetrate the 20% of the market it has not yet tapped into. As well as assist any Google user to get a more advanced and broader search engine that will ease any further research needed by them. The quality of access will be of a concern seeing as the lunch will only focus on a small majority of the world. That might effect the other part of the world that is not allowed access because it will give the countries with the new browser an unfair advantage.
Personally, I think that the introduction of Google's new browser; Chrome, is a very smart step to take. This would immediately benefit Google as a whole, it will also be up to date with technology since it will rely on graphics and multimedia. Chrome will face competitions with other updated browsers but hopefully this will not affect it. It will face several problems but hopefully it will be developed enough and prepared enough to defeat them.
I think this would be a smart move by google IMO. It is already known as one of the best if not the best search engine in the world and plus it owns youtube so under those circumstances it is widely known and it people would use because they know it would very reliable because the brand would not comprimize itself as being unreliable. It would challenge the other browsers and I think it would be a lot better. But that is for times to come.
