This problem is a problem that not only affects users in the UK, but users in the world as a whole. For example, in Doha, this is a really big problem that a lot of people suffer from. I don't think internet server providers should limit the amount of broadband we receive, as that is just unfair for people who are paying for broadband that should be 10 times better than it actually is. A solution to this problem would be to notify users with the amount of broadband they would be receiving, before actually committing to any internet provider. Providers should also give people the option to pay extra money for higher broadband connection, so that different users are not angered from the poor quality of internet connection they are receiving. So basically, the solution I am imposing is: pay higher prices for higher broadband connection, but give people the internet broadband speed they are paying for !!!! It is not a very good solution, but at least it is a start before actually going ahead and improving the actual internet broadband.

Because of this problem, Internet Service Providers (ISP) should introduce packages on the amount of downloads that are allowed for customers. More downloads monthly would cost more for the customers. This way, the internet network would be more efficient as it won't slow down the internet connections of other customers. Furthermore, if customers wish to have more downloads monthly, additional services should also be introduced in order to ensure them that what they are paying for is worth it.

Broadband providers should advertise their product honestly because consumers are getting the wrong impression and believe that they have an unlimited broadband. The statistics is unbelievable, over 80% of consumers falsely think they have an unlimited broadband and surprised when it is turned off. Broadband providers should educate their customers on their product so they know their broad bands limit and avoid getting it turned off.

I disagree with companies that have a cap limit on how much internet usage is done as customers have paid for that service and they should be getting what is convienent for them. My soultion is that the company itself must improve it's service rather than draw its customers away by limiting the usage. For example, Qtel gained about 1 billion riyals last year and they could use a portion that to improve thier services.

Although this Problem is most common in UK , but it goes around the Entire world. were the broadband, the speed of the internet is limited. and there is a limit to the broadband people are receving in the UK for example , in US the internet is faster due do this fact. this problem takes palce because many people do not actually know about the broadbands they are receving , in other words those people are getting ripped off ! if they had mroe knowlege about that fact this problem ca be easily prevented !

The problem only effects the users in the UK. The internet server should limit the amount of broadband that we receive. The solution is that to notify the users with the amount of broadband that they are receiving before they commit to any of the internet providers. If they want higher broadband connection, they should pay more, so they have a faster server.

This problem is a global issue, which is affecting the whole world. Internet server providers should limit the amount of broadband we recieve in order that we make the server since it would be unfair for people who are paying for faster broadbands.

The issue here is integrity, internet service providers should clarify whether or not that their services are really unlimited. The fact that they are not clarifying their product correctly makes them the source of the problem rather than the internet users. How would an internet user know what his/her limit is if they have been told they have unlimited access. Overall this is an issue of integrity and ISP's should clarify their products rather than adding on fancy catch phrases such as "unlimited access".

This problem is one that affects the whole world. The Internet server should limit the amount of broadband people recieve. Providers should also allow people to pay extra money in order to reciece higher broadband connection. A problem is that the providers do not notify the users with the broadband they are revieving and they really need to do so in order to let be more aware of what kind they are recieving.

Companies should not limit the internet usage. It would lead to people disliking and mistrusting the internet. Instead these companies should increase the internet usage. In this way people will use the internet and be more satisfied by the internet and would consider it reliable.

This problem is a serious problem. Not only in the UK, but it is a problem in all around the world. The broadband that we recieve should be limited in order for it to be better. I also agree that if everyone needs a better and higher broadband they should pay for it, and the more they pay the better broadband they get. Also, they sould give the users who pay more the actual speed that they paid for, not give them the same that people paid less by 5 times.

The companies that advertise their broadband as unlimited are to blame in this case. They should improve their broadband quality rather than limit broadband usage. More importantly, they should provide customers with the broadband they've paid. They seem to be underestimating the peoples knowledge about the internet.

The broadband problem is really unfair to the people who should be getting a higher speed connection while using the internet. Internet Service Providers should make a solution to this problem. Some solution should be, to cut down the limit and to extend the amount of bandwith of the broadband connections of the ISPs. Since I think the problem is only in the UK, I think the Uk should create at least a couple of Internet Service Providers to sustain the Internet connections without limit.

This is a worl wide problem, because it affects users all around the world. Especially in places like Qatar where this is a very big problem. I think that the internet server providers should not limit the broadband that we recieve. One of the solutions to this problem is to notify users with the amount of broadband they would be receiving.

The limitng of usage caps in the uk pose a real problem to the users of broadband. Personally, i don't think that the internet service providers should not limit the broadband we receive. Broadband is supposed to be better tha dial-up and the rest of the internet connections. Limiting the broadband connection would act as a barrier for people who want broadband and most people won't use it again. I also think broadband should be made into layers.Broadband Internet connection should be Depending on the amount of money paid. More bandwidth should also be created. This are some of the solutions that i think should be tried

This is a very big problem and internet server providers must stop doing this. People should roam around the internet freely and not be disrupted and disconnected for a stupid reason. Along with this, there is a problem with the false advertisements that claim 'unlimited' bandwidth. Although this Problem is most common in UK , but it goes around the Entire world. Where the broadband is limited. The issue in this article is reliability, internet service providers should clarify whether or not that their services are really unlimited.

This is quite frankly a very annoying problem that not only affects Britain but also the whole world. Here in Doha, we pay higher amount of money for not so much broadband. People who pay more money should get a higher broadband. This is a reliability issue. We don't know what the broadband number is for the money we pay and then it could be fair. Or else.........

This problem mainly affects the users of the United Kingdom, every user should know his limits in browsing the internet. When browsing the internet the users should have a small window showing his availability of usage. Just like when browsing the internet in an internet cafe.

The article concerns the issue of boradbands having a limit to their usage, as more and more users exceed the limit.
The users are not clearly being informed about what their limits are and are therefore regularly exceeding the limit and getting disconnected.
A possible solution to this problem could consist of the users being better informed about what they are using.
A better solution could be, rather than disconnecting the user from the broadband, they should simply be blocked once they are about to exceed the limit; and notified why they are being blocked, so that they can avoid the mistake in the future.

because the broadband is limited, people of course will over use it, people would have to pay for it therefore if people would go over the limit, they can disconnet the internet for the whole month. However if there seems to be a great amount in the population that is exceeding their limit, that means that they would have to extend the broadband somehow.

It has been found that about one million broadband users in the UK have exceeded their broadband usage limit or come close to exceeding the limit. The usage caps are put in place by Internet Service Providers to limit bandwidth that can be used. The article addresses the issue of reliable telecommunication channels. These limits are put in place by Internet Service Providers to limit the bandwidth as a claimed anti-piracy system. As more and more users stream video and download movies, the lenient caps are becoming a serious problem.

The ethical issue of this article is Policies and Standards because businesses enforced certain measure even though internet service providers advertised as having no limit to the amount of bandwidth users can have in any given month. Policies are enforceable measures intended to promote appropriate use. These can be developed by businesses. A solution to this problem is that users should be notified why they are being blocked and users should be informed about what they signed in the contract due to the fact that only 1 out of 4 people read the regulations. Providers should also give people the option to pay extra money for higher broadband connection, so that different users are not affected by the poor quality of internet connection they are receiving. This is a serious problem in the UK due to the fact that people may exceed the limit of 1GB a month and some people may need more broadband then the given amount.
